Maze Lodge
Golfo Dulce is one of only a handful of tropical fjords on Earth and one of the world's premier destinations for marine life. Humpback whales visit the gulf for eight months of the year, dolphins live here year-round, and Piedras Blancas National Park — reachable only by boat — sits on the far shore.
What to expect
You set off at 8:30 am with Josh, who has navigated these waters for twenty years. Humpbacks (in season), resident dolphins, sea turtles, tunas "dancing" on the surface, and snorkelling over the reefs. A rare look at Piedras Blancas' untouched coastline. Departures are flexible and based on demand, so the tour stays small and personal. Bring your camera — the coastal views alone are worth it.
